The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has ordered its members across the country to
commence an indefinite industrial action. The leadership of the body gave the order after a extensive meeting it had at the Federal University of Technology, Akure, the Ondo State capital on Sunday, November 4th.
Speaking to newsmen, the National President of ASUU, Professor Abiodun Ogunyemi, said the union took the decision due to the poor funding of Universities in the country.
This strike comes a day before the NLC Nov. 6 proposed strike over non-implementation of N30,000 minimum wage.
