Luke Shaw left out of Manchester United’s squad to face Watford despite Jose Mourinho admitting he’s fit

Luke Shaw has been left out of Manchester United’s squad to face Watford despite Jose Mourinho revealing this morning that the left-back was available. The 23-year-old was stretchered off in England’s defeat against Spain after being knocked out following a colission with Dani Carvajal.

Some reports suggested a mandatory seven-day protocal would rule Shaw out of the trip to Vicarage Road but Mourinho revealed this morning that the left-back was in contention.

However, Shaw was not present as United made their way south this afternoon and he will miss the game.

The news is a blow for Shaw, who has started the season in excellent fashion. The England star was named United’s player of the month for August after scoring his first goal for the club in a 2-1 win against Leicester.
