He is 30 years old
You might still think of Adam Lallana as a young player with lots of promise. It's easily done given that he was a late bloomer, but he is in fact 35 years old. That is important to remember in the context of what you're about to see.
Now, of course a player's haircut does not affect their ability to play football well. Nor is it an indication of their commitment to the cause - looking at you, Souness - but it should be recognised that 30-year-old men shouldn't really be putting blonde highlights in their hair unless they have unreal levels of sauce to pull it off. Basically, Antoine Griezmann can do whatever he wants, but Adam Lallana might be pushing it a bit far with this new trim.

It's extremely David Beckham 2003, isn't it? You can't help but feel Lallana has been watching too many videos of England playing football in the noughties during the World Cup, which he narrowly missed out on due to a lack of match sharpness.
Safe to say Liverpool fans, and football fans in general, are not impressed with the Liverpool midfielder's new look.
That Lallana haircut, didn't Riise have that around the early 00s?— Öwen (@or84) July 17, 2018

Great to see Lallana continuing his series of haircuts from the 90s. Can't wait to see him with the 'Rachel from Friends' next.— BWP (@BlessedWithPace) July 17, 2018

Lallana has been linked with a move away from Liverpool this summer after the arrivals of Naby Keita and Fabinho. Liverpool have a variety of midfield options, but Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will not be fit until the early winter after sustaining an anterior cruciate knee injury in April, so they may want to keep Lallana around to fulfil a squad role until the January window reopens.
