Cardi B: My husband, Offset was targeted by cops because he's black and successful

Cardi B believes husband Offset was 'targeted' by cops and she won't leave him 'even if he goes to prison'

Offset  was recently arrested for carrying a weapon while on probation stemming from a 2016 incident.

But on Tuesday, it was revealed that Cardi B confided in friends that she would stand by besieged husband Offset's side 'even if he were sentenced to prison,' according to TMZ.

The 25-year-old believes the Migos rapper 'was pulled over for doing nothing more than being a rich, successful black rapper,' reported the gossip site.

According to TMZ, Cardi -whose real name is Belcalis Marlenis Almanzar- also doesn't believe Offset broke any laws, telling friends 'he doesn't own any firearms'.

She's calling the July 2 arrest, allegedly initiated because the MotorSport artist crossed a double yellow line while driving in Atlanta, Georgia, a 'targeted attack from the hip-hop cops'.

Offset - real name Kiari Kendrell Cephus - was behind bars after his SUV was pulled over by police, TMZ reported on Friday.

The rapper was subsequently released on bond from the Clayton County Jail in Georgia.

However his lawyer Drew Findling admitted the rapper is thinking of his family during the difficult time, according to PEOPLE magazine.

The 26-year-old Migos star told his legal team that 'he is concerned' about his wife Cardi B and their newborn daughter Kulture.

'He did not commit any traffic offense and he certainly was not in possession of any weapons,' Findling said. 'This was an improper arrest and I believe in his innocence.'

The attorney added: '[Offset's] holding up as best he can considering the circumstances and knows he has not broken any laws. He is going to have his day in court.'
